External roller shutters

External roller shutters

External roller shutters are one of the most effective ways to limit indoor heat build-up in summer, reduce noise, and add an extra layer of burglary protection — they also help retain heat in winter. The shutter types differ above all in where the box is mounted, so we've split our range into three variants: compact, surface-mounted and in-insulation hybrid. The right choice depends on whether the installation is planned during construction or on an already-finished building.

How to choose the right external roller shutter?

Compact shutters require a sufficiently tall window opening planned at the construction or joinery-replacement stage — the box tucks away above the window, in line with the lintel. In-insulation hybrid shutters are fitted after the windows are installed but before the façade insulation is applied — the box then sits almost completely hidden within the insulation layer. Surface-mounted shutters are a universal solution that can also be fitted to an already-finished façade — the box remains visible from outside the building. Below is a short comparison of the three variants.

Compact shuttersBox mounted above the window, in line with the lintel — needs to be planned at the construction or joinery-replacement stage.
Surface-mounted shuttersBox mounted on the outer wall surface, visible on the façade — can also be fitted to an already-finished building.
In-insulation hybrid shuttersBox embedded within the insulation layer — fitted after the windows, before the façade insulation, almost invisible from outside.
